International maritime exhibition “Asia Pacific Maritime (APM) 2014” has been held at the Marina Bay Sands, Singapore from 19th Wednesday until 21st Friday of March, 2014, to which we, Imabari Shipbuilding Group, has participated. This year is the 13th opening of the Asia Pacific Maritime, which is the most famous and biggest maritime exhibition in the Asian region, to which more than 1,500 entities from 53 countries including host country Singapore, Japan, China, Korea, Holland, Denmark, Germany, Norway and so on, have participated. In addition to booth presentation by the participated companies , various seminars have been held regarding environment issue, latest communication technology and piracy problem etc. There were quite flourishing discussions and exchange of information.
As a member of the Cooperative Association of Japan Shipbuilders, we participated in the exhibition together with other Japanese shipyards and marine machinery & equipment manufacturers, eleven companies in total, thus formed national pavilion of Japan. We exhibited a wide wall panel with a photograph of LNG carrier in navigation in the center, and comforting character of Imabari City “ Barysan” and mascot character of our company “Imazo-kun” at both side. Our promotion video was also aired. Through these presentations, we have made a strong appeal of our company now standing No.1 position in Japan in terms of shipbuilding volume.
