We have participated in the ‘’Nor-Shipping 2013’’, international maritime exhibition, which was held at Oslo, Norway, from 4TH to 7th of June, 2013.
‘’Nor-Shipping’’ has been held 23 times already, and renowned as one of the major international maritime exhibitions to be held in alternate year in Oslo as ‘’Nor-Shipping’’ and in Greece as ‘’Posidonia’’, which is a very big event to where a lot of entities gather mainly from European maritime circle.
Around 1,000 enterprises including 22 national pavilions have participated in the Exhibition, and more than 15,000 people visited the Exhibition during its four days session.
We Imabari Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. as a member of the Japan Ship Exporters Association, formed Japan Pavilion in consortium with ten Japanese shipyards together with the Japan Ship’s Machinery & Equipment Association. Our President Mr. Higaki received Mr. Akio Shirota, Ambassador of Japan to Norway, to our Pavilion and many other guest as well. Mr. Higaki himself diligently explained about our activities and also our future prospect.
The concept of the Exhibition is “Next Generation Shipping?”. Many enterprises and parties assuming next generation have participated, held conferences about new technologies and made presentation of state-of-the-art equipments, and also many receptions took place.
During the session, we have exchanged opinions with Norwegian and European shipping people, and appealed for keen attention to the high quality and superior technology of Imabari and Japanese shipbuilders.
