We have participated in the "Nor-Shipping
2011", international maritime exhibition, which was
held at Oslo, Norway, from 24th to 27th of May, 2011.
"Nor-Shipping" has been held 22 times already,
and renowned as one of the major international maritime
exhibitions to be held in alternate year in Oslo as "Nor-Shipping"
and in Greece as "Posidonia", big event to where
a lot of entities mainly from European maritime circle gathers.
Around 1,100 entities and enterprises from 54 countries
have participated in the Exhibition including 22 countries
who presented their own national pavilions. More than 15,000
people visited the Exhibition during four days of exhibition
We Imabari Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. as a member of the Japan
Ship Exporters Association, formed Japan Pavilion in consortium
with eleven Japanese shipyards together with the Japan Marine
Equipment Association. Our President Mr. Higaki received
Mr. Shirota Akio, the Ambassador of Japan to Norway, to
our Pavilion and many other guest as well. Our President
himself diligently explained about our activities and also
future prospect, presenting the model ship of I-Star, one
of our main products, and our mascot character "Imazo-kun".
The concept of the Exhibition is "What's next?".
Many and varied business talks and exchange of information
have been held through meetings among business people, conferences
about new technologies, presentation of state-of-the-art
equipments, parties for maritime related persons etc. Such
active situation has made us confident of further development
of the maritime industries and we have got a fresh recognition
that the principle of human relation is face-to-face contact,
even in the blooming internet world.

of the Shipbuilders' Association of Japan to our Pavilion
