World's second "Copper ore and Sulphuric acid Carrier" completed
Oct. 25, 2010

On Sep. 9th(Wed.), the naming ceremony has taken place at our Imabari Shipyard for a 51,500 M.T. D/W type Copper ore and Sulphuric acid Carrier named M.S.“ MAR CAMINO ”. The VESSEL was delivered to OSORNO SHIPHOLDING S.A., on Sep. 13th (Mon.) and left for Saganoseki Smelter, Oita.

Many guests, including the shipper from Chili, the shipowner, the operator, and the financer , have participated to the naming ceremony, and clebrated the newly born Vessel.

M.S."MAR CAMINO"is to be engaged in the shuttle service between Japan and Chili mainly, and carries Sulphuric acid (which is used to refine copper ore) from Japan and copper ore from Chili.

Copper ore and Sulphuric and Carrier is very specially dedicated vessel and only one vessel has existed in the whole world. M.S.“MAR CAMINO”replaces the existing vessel.

We believe M.S. MAR CAMINO meets expectations of the owner and concerned porties, and contributes to the stable supply between Japan and Chili.
